The Opportunity
A Receptionist in our community provides a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who enters. In addition to greeting guests, vendors, or anyone arriving, a Receptionist is responsible for maintaining visitor logs and communicating with visitors and those they are looking to visit with. A Receptionist will also answer calls, route phone calls, provide information about the community, and assist with all inquiries made. A Receptionist is the first face people see entering our community and has the privilege of setting the tone for every visit.
What You’ll Do
Engagement
- Initiate a welcome and inviting greeting for everyone in the community
- Determine a guest/visitors need(s) quickly and direct them where to go
- Answer phone calls or emails professionally and in a timely manner
Communication
- Provide details about guests, their visitation, the community and safety precautions during their visit
- Ensure visitor logs, ID badges, and any security measures are followed by anyone within the community
- Escalate issues, minor or urgent, to those who need to know.
What You’ll Bring
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-year experience as a receptionist or similar, in a call-center, or administrative environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, ability to create and organize documents
Resourcefulness
- Proven ability to take initiative with tasks, especially with safety and sanitation
- Compassion and caring nature, showing a strong desire to provide comfort to guests/residents
- Working effectiveness for organization, with supplies, work areas, files and electronic files.
