Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, tankers, and flatbeds.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or issues.
- Manage route planning to optimize delivery schedules while ensuring timely arrivals.
- Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with various types of trucks, including those equipped with manual transmission.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers, tankers, flatbeds, or route driving is preferred.
- Previous roles as a delivery driver or in commercial driving will be advantageous.
- Ability to perform load unloading tasks efficiently and safely.
