Summary/Objective
Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered family.
Essential Functions
- Monitor and maintains continuous state of alertness and awareness to control and secure main gate entrances to the facility and buildings.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Prevent the entry of unauthorized people and prohibited articles into restricted areas.
- Maintain a detailed logbook of the names, purpose of visit, and entry and exit times of each individual who enters the facility and buildings.
- Distribute visitor badges, monitor the premise through networked TV cameras, and check for any sort of criminal/unauthorized activity.
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Operates within legal constraints and contract agency stipulations to maintain the security of the facility and safety of staff and visitors.
- Entering, recording, storing, and maintaining information in written or electronic form.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to act fast in emergencies.
- Ability to use good judgment; handle and resolve conflicts.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Shall have five (5) years’ experience directly related to industrial, information, physical and operational security. Shall have experience with DOD security publications and regulations and have experience in drafting policies and procedure from Government security regulations, for application at the organization level.
