Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our top-notch administrative team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Curriculum/Instruction/Assessment with a proven ability as an effective instructional leader.
We are looking for someone who understands effective professional development, has excellent organizational skills, uses data to direct improvement, and offers a strong combination of pedagogical knowledge, training, and experience within a Pre-K - 12 setting.
The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for an array of other administrative/management duties including federal grants, homeless students, support staff hiring, substitute hiring, and special projects.
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent is involved in most aspects of district administration including supervising some operational areas and supporting the work of the Superintendent as needed.
Certification as a Maine Assistant Superintendent is required.
