In this role, you will direct the People Operations Team at a growing company with great culture. As we look to scale throughout 2023 and beyond, we will look for this individual to leverage their experience from past successes and learnings to play a leadership role across all aspects of People Operations while having an influence on Talent Acquisition and HR functions and processes.

What you'll do:

  • Own all aspects of People Operations as Five9 scales in size and drive HR Operations thought leadership, transformation, and innovation
  • Grow and nurture the global People Operations Team in an environment where the team members can deliver on our goals
  • Act as a strong HR leader, who not only brings a depth of expertise in People Operations but who will also, as part of the People Leadership Team, play an influential role across all aspects of TA and HR ensuring we provide Five9'ers with a cohesive employee experience
  • Be both a strategic and hands-on partner who is comfortable setting annual strategy as well as troubleshooting process issues against deadlines

Operations

  • Lead overall global operations strategy and build an agile team culture through process, systems, and structure.
  • Overall leadership of the company's HRIS strategy including maximizing utilization of UKG, governance amongst regional HR systems, and stakeholder activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR programs and services by leveraging technology, automation, and implementing process improvements
  • Partner with IT and Security to build and implement a roadmap and sustainable model for the use of technology to support HR service delivery and strategic initiatives
  • Ensure appropriate HR controls design and adherence along with appropriate permissions design for HR systems and access to HR records
  • Guide the design of strong data management practices for data integrity and security
  • Manage all HR information and reporting systems (HR/payroll database (UKG), benefits administration (partnering with our benefits broker) including leave management as well as Talent Acquisition System, Greenhouse.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and programs, maintain and update the employee handbook as needed
  • Oversee all state and government reporting and training. Ensure anti-harassment training is completed
  • Stay current with changes to employment law and compliance requirements in order to protect the interests of the employees and the Company.
  • Perform all duties in keeping with the Company's core values, policies and all applicable regulations.
  • Manage and mature our Global Mobility program and immigration team.
  • Proactively partners with the People Leadership team to drive solutions for business functions
  • Partner closely with Accounting, Compliance, and Finance on various cross-functional projects.

Education And Experience

  • BA/MBA with business/HR major, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. PHR or SHRP certifications desired.
  • 10 years of progressive HR experience. Experience in a global software company is preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically, manage change and understand the business context in supporting the company in achieving its goals.
  • Strong generalist background in Human Resources with broad knowledge of culture and organization development, recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, and training and development.
  • Experience in managing HR information systems – UKG is preferred.
  • Advanced analytical and technical skills in Excel.
  • Well-developed organizational and HR operational capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
