What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unity Developer position at Fiveamp?
Fiveamp is a passionate indie game studio creating unique and exciting gaming experiences.
We're looking for an Associate or Mid-Level Unity Programmer to join our team and contribute to our upcoming titles. As a programmer, you will work closely with technical leadership to develop new features, maintain our Unity-based codebase, and resolve bugs. Qualified applicants will be asked to complete a skills test including coding as part of the interview process.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated self-starter with strong C# skills and a solid understanding of game design. While this position can be performed remotely within the US - being local to Austin, TX, is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement features and tools based on provided designs.
- Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other programmers to ensure a seamless development process.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues in the game.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C# and the Unity game engine.
- Strong understanding of game design principles and workflows.
- Ability to adapt efficiently to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing personal/team projects.
- Familiarity with Unity DOTS (Data-Oriented Technology Stack).
- A degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
