Fives Group is looking for an Electrical Designer in the Maumee, OH area.
What You Will Be Doing:
- As an Electrical Designer, you will design electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems in support of engineering projects.
Job Description:
- May act as and electrical team leader on selected projects
- Complete designs using design software including AutoCAD 2D and 3D. Other CAD platforms may be used as well
- Must have good communications skills and working knowledge of project design, construction, design software, cost, and scheduling
- Typical design tasks include: low and medium voltage power distribution systems, motor control centers and medium voltage switchgear, facility substations and transformers, cable tray, conduit and cabling systems, and power study analysis.
- Willing to work on projects for varying customers and industries
Qualifications:
- Minium of 2 years experience as an Electrical Designer using AutoCAD or related CAD software
- Experience with power system design
- Familiarity with lighting software
- Must demonstrate some working knowledge of industrial and commercial buildings and ability to execute related designs
- Experience with Autodesk 3D is preferred
- Experience with hazardous environments, heavy industry, refinery/petroleum facilities, and other similar environments is preferred
Education:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred but candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered.
