Scope of Work & Responsibility
- Manages projects and workload of mechanical and electrical engineering group from design to installation
- Establishes work instructions & standard operation procedures for engineering group
- Reviews the accuracy and feasibility of all drawing and bill of material releases
- Participates in engineering and design solutions including applications, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and safety
- Leverages Solidworks, Solidworks PDM, AutoCAD, and other design tools to ensure work is completed efficiently
- Drives documentation in all aspects of the company to promote clarity, accountability, and knowledge retention
- Works closely with production management to ensure quality and on-time delivery
- Provides application engineering support and cost projections for Sales Provides technical support for service department and direct customer service
- Conducts research & development for new products Drives implementation of standardization and modularization of product lines
- Conducts cost analysis to determine profitability and future sales prices
- Some travel required (10%)
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering - required
- Prior management experience - required 5-8 years of electrical engineering experience - required Project management experience - required Product design and development experience
- Experience with foundry processes is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailed analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to initiate and support change to the organization
- Ability to interact with all levels of management
- Advanced knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCad, and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with ERP System, SAP a plus
- Authorized to work in the US and pass a background check.
- Must be able to: sit and/or stand/walk for extended periods of time; navigate stairs and congested workspaces several times daily; bend, kneel, & reach overhead
