Job Responsibilities
Tasks listed are not meant to be all-encompassing:
- Responsible for routine sediment analysis and tests on submitted or self-collected samples of parts or substances related to the manufacturing process.
- Perform metallurgical testing as required under the guidance of metallurgists and as spelled out in the TIS related to the required testing.
- Develop and maintain all charting and reporting required for both sediment and metallurgical processes.
- Comply with all systems and procedures as set out in the Global Manufacturing System (Client)
- Approve material within established criteria and specifications.
- Operate all lab equipment for both metallurgical and sediment testing.
- Act in a professional manner when dealing with other GM team members as they perform responsibilities both inside and outside the lab environment.
- Assist with problem solving issues as required by engineering staff as they relate to all manufacturing processes.
- Report and document Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Continuous Improvements
- Make decisions within the limits of general standards and procedures.
- Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards.
- Perform all other functions as deemed necessary by Lab Manager or Metallurgist

- Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to access, navigate, and work within a manufacturing facility that may or may not be temperature controlled.
