Role Summary:
This position plays a critical role in supporting the sales function by developing quotations, interfacing with internal departments, and managing sold projects. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate and professional documentation, including proposals, letters, and presentations.
- Interface with engineering, purchasing, contract administration, accounting, and operations teams to provide responsive solutions to customer needs.
- Travel to customer sites to gather information and provide proposals that meet their requirements.
- Review and analyze contract requirements to ensure alignment with company proposals.
- Conduct business meetings and present product information to various groups within the organization.
- Promote the sale of Fives Giddings & Lewis products and develop strategies to increase market share.
- Manage sold projects to achieve plan scope and schedule.
- Maintain ISO 9001 and 14001 awareness and compliance.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 4-6 years related experience and/or training.
- Prefer Mechanical or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering background.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven polish and professionalism.
- Ability to read part drawings (blueprints).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Prefer part processing, fixturing, and/or application experience with Machine Tools.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
