Job Description:
This position is responsible for servicing shop production needs, including development of part programs and new manufacturing methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analysis to process manufactured parts.
- Plan manufacturing processes, routings, programming, tooling, and equipment for each application.
- Exercise good judgment to achieve optimum results.
- Participate in cost estimates and creation of new methods, including cost savings calculations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly working area.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Machining, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Machinist Apprenticeship preferred.
- 2-5 years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to process parts for multiple types of machines.
- Ability to program control systems and learn additional types as needed.
- Ability to manage quality issues with Castings.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management and shop personnel.
