We are looking for an Industrial Machining Technician to join our team at Fives - Machine Tool Services & Solutions.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of grinding methods, wheels and cutting qualities of metals, as well as geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Able to use shop math together with complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, etc.
- Knowledge of various types of precision measuring instruments, such as inside and outside micrometers, vernier calipers, snap gauges, micrometer depth gauges and dial indicators.
- Ability to work on a variety of metals, selecting proper feed, speed, etc. and working to close tolerances.
The ideal candidate will be able to use independent judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within a sequence of standard and recognized procedures.
