Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and a passion for maintaining and improving heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
  • Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Utilize power tools and equipment to perform repairs and installations.
  • Repair hydraulic systems and components as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in diesel repair.

Skills

  • Proficient in automotive repair with a focus on diesel engine systems.
  • Strong understanding of schematics and technical documentation.
  • Experience with equipment repair, including knowledge of Caterpillar machinery.
  • Ability to weld and perform electrical repairs as necessary.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance.
  • Competence in using various power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
