Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer with a preference for Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience). The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring a variety of network equipment, including perimeter firewalls, wireless LAN controllers/APs, manufacturing (OT) and office (IT) core switches, data center switches, access switches, and MFG panel switches. The Network Engineer will play an active role in contributing to the overall network configuration efforts and supporting the design and connectivity for upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure Perimeter Firewalls, Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), and Access Points (APs).
- Configure manufacturing (OT) and office (IT) core switches, data center switches, access switches, and MFG panel switches.
- Integrate Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnect switches with existing Nexus Datacenter switches.
- Support network design and connectivity for the replacement of office virtualization servers and storage systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network integration and implementation.
- Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for network infrastructure issues.
- Optimize the network performance and monitor the health of all network systems.
- Work with Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches, Cisco 9800 WLC, and Cisco ISE with RADITACACS authentication.
Qualifications:
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience) are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience in network infrastructure, switch management, and data center environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches, Cisco 9800 WLC, and Cisco ISE with RADITACACS authentication.
- Experience with Cisco UCS and Nexus Datacenter switches.
- Ability to work onsite at the customer location in Smyrna, TN.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering or related field.
