Job Overview

Join fjorge as a Business Development Manager (BDM) and help transform marketing agencies by connecting them with innovative technical solutions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting marketing and advertising agency partners into long-term clients.

Your primary focus will be outbound sales efforts, leveraging targeted outreach, relationship-building, and strategic follow-ups to drive new business. Success in this role requires a proactive sales mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to clearly articulate the value of our services to agencies that lack in-house technical capabilities.

You will play a crucial role in expanding our client base, forging lasting partnerships, and driving revenue growth. If you thrive on building relationships, connecting the dots between people and opportunities, and maintaining a strong professional network, you’ll excel in this role.

Prospecting & Lead Generation

Identify and engage potential marketing and advertising agency partners through strategic outreach efforts, including email, LinkedIn, and cold calls. Research and qualify leads to ensure alignment with fjorge’s ideal client profile, building a strong pipeline of opportunities.

New Business Quota & Growth Goal Achievement 

Consistently drive new business by meeting or exceeding assigned revenue targets. Proactively develop relationships, nurture leads, and convert prospects into long-term agency partners through a consultative sales approach.

Managing the Sales Process with Clients and Prospects 

Guide prospects through the sales journey—from initial outreach to contract signing—by uncovering their needs, presenting tailored solutions, and addressing objections. Maintain clear and effective communication to ensure a smooth decision-making process.

Onboarding of New Clients & New Projects

Collaborate with our delivery teams to onboard new clients and ensure they have a clear understanding of what to expect when starting a project with fjorge. Facilitate a smooth transition from sales to project execution.

CRM Reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions, pipeline progress, and closed deals in HubSpot (or relevant CRM). Use data-driven insights to refine outreach strategies, improve sales effectiveness, and report on key performance metrics.

How Success Is Measured

  • New Business Meetings Scheduled – Number of qualified meetings booked per week/month.
  • Opportunities Created – Number of new qualified deals added to the pipeline.
  • New Business Won – Revenue from closed deals against quota.

Qualifications

  • 1 years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in an agency, software, or technology-related industry.
  • Proven ability to generate and qualify leads through outbound prospecting and strategic engagement.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to connect with key decision-makers.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and working within a CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Ability to handle objections, navigate complex sales conversations, and close deals through a consultative approach.
  • Familiarity with marketing agencies, digital products, or custom software development is a plus.
  • Proficiency with email outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sales automation tools is a plus.
This role has a starting salary monthly commission structure

Salary : $75,000
