Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team at FK Instrument Co, LLC. The Shipping and Receiving Associate will be responsible for handling a variety of shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. A Shipping and Receiving Associate will be a team player with the ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as switch between activities quickly, as the job requires.
Responsibilities
- Conducts periodic inventory cycle counts, summarizes cycle count results, and supports full physical inventories.
- Cleaning, wrapping, bagging, sealing, and packaging in accordance with customer requirements and specifications.
- Assemble and fill boxes, dividers, containers, trays, bags, cartons, special packaging with items that need to be preserved and shipped or inventoried.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipping and receiving activities, including documentation, reports, and transaction records.
- Generate purchase orders and packing slips for outside service orders, ensuring accurate packing, and labeling of items according to order specifications.
- Receive incoming shipments into ERP system, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Ensures paperwork alignment between shipping and Quality Control (QC) such as Certificates of Compliance and packing slips.
- Monitors product quality visually, escalating as warranted to management and to quality.
- Utilizes company vehicle to safely transport various products and materials to and from specified locations.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in shipping, receiving, or inventory control preferred.
- High level of dependability.
- Proficient in order picking, packing, and other fulfillment processes.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience.
- Ability to work reasonable overtime including occasional Saturdays as needed.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
