This role will involve overseeing all aspects of the farm, from crop planning and planting to animal management and harvesting. The Farm Manager will work closely with the on site culinary team to develop production goals, value added food processing and preservation. The Farm Manager will also have the unique opportunity to engage with our club members and guests, educating them about the principles and practices of regenerative agriculture.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION :
The Farm Manager will report to the Chief Executive Officer with a dotted line to the Director of Operations and will work closely with the management team to perform specific tasks.
Farm Planning and Management :
- Manage a comprehensive farm plan that integrates annual vegetable production, no-till vegetable production, syntropic agriculture, agroforestry, rotational grazing, nursery production and perennial crop production.
- Manage day-to-day farm operations, including planting, irrigation, pest and disease management, and harvesting.
- Communicate with the culinary team to coordinate production and food processing & preservation.
- Monitor and maintain soil health through sustainable practices.
- Oversee the care of animals (when applicable) and manage rotational grazing systems.

Lifting and Carrying :
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted (e.g., bags of seed, fertilizer, tools, harvested crops, etc.), with or without reasonable accommodation, as part of the essential job duties.
Bending, Kneeling, and Squatting :
Frequent bending, kneeling, and squatting to inspect crops, maintain equipment, plant, or harvest, especially in fields or greenhouses.
Climbing and Crawling :
Climbing ladders or machinery for maintenance or inspection purposes, or crawling into tight spaces for equipment repairs.
Standing and Walking :
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, often across fields or throughout the farm for inspections, monitoring, and overseeing operations.
Repetitive Motion :
Repetitive tasks such as planting, harvesting, or using machinery, which may require extended use of hands, arms, and wrists.
Operating Equipment :
Operating farm machinery, vehicles, and irrigation systems, which may require reaching, grasping, and footwork (e.g., driving tractors, operating harvesters, or controlling irrigation equipment).
Working in Outdoor Conditions :
Must be able to work in varied weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) and in sometimes physically demanding conditions, such as on uneven terrain or muddy fields.
Manual Dexterity :
Using tools for planting, pruning, harvesting, and other farm tasks that require a fine level of manual dexterity.
Endurance :
Ability to endure long hours of physical work during peak seasons, such as planting or harvest time, which may involve early mornings, late evenings, or working during weekends.
Coordination and Mobility :
