About Us : The Fall Line, a private, members-only golf and sporting club nestled in the sandhills of Southwest, Georgia. Our dedication to excellence sets us apart, with high standards that extend beyond the golf course to every aspect of our services. Our culinary operations span multiple kitchens, including the main clubhouse, casual dining areas, event spaces, and other food service locations. The culinary team plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality dining experiences, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our team and contribute to our outstanding food service.

Position Overview : The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to the club’s high standards. This role involves working on the line during service, ensuring that dishes are prepared to order, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, a strong work ethic, and a passion for culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Food Preparation :

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.

  • Ensure that all dishes are cooked to the proper temperature and presentation, adhering to the club’s quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
  • Line Operation :
  • Work efficiently on the line during service, managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Follow proper plating techniques and ensure that all orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to coordinate the flow of orders and maintain smooth operations.
  • Health and Safety Compliance :
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including regular cleaning of work areas and equipment.
  • Inventory and Stock Management :
  • Assist with inventory management, including monitoring ingredient levels and reporting any shortages to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.

  • Properly store and handle ingredients to prevent spoilage and waste.
  • Quality Control :
  • Ensure that all food items meet the club’s quality standards for taste, appearance, and portion size.

  • Conduct regular checks on food quality and make adjustments as needed.
  • Team Collaboration :
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure effective teamwork and communication.

  • Assist with training and mentoring new staff members as needed.
  • Special Tasks :
  • Participate in special events, banquets, and catering functions as required, contributing to the preparation and execution of customized menu items.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
  • Additional Duties :
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the overall operations of the club.

  • Work in farm operation when needed.
  • Qualifications :

  • Education and Experience :
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary Arts degree or certification preferred.

  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in a line cook role, preferably in a high-end or luxury dining environment.
  • Skills and Competencies :
  • Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on contributing positively to the kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks involving bending, reaching, and other physical activities.
