Position Summary:
The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all security-related operations, including security guard training, scheduling, and the development of emergency response plans. This position ensures that the safety and security of the facility, its members, guests, and staff are maintained at the highest level. The manager will oversee security guard training programs, including firearm training, and establish protocols for security checks, apprehension, and detention. Additionally, the Security Manager will coordinate with local law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other partners to develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive emergency response plans for the facility.
Key Responsibilities:

Security Guard Training and Development:
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of all security personnel.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for security guards, including training in general security protocols, customer service, firearm handling, apprehension techniques, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct periodic training refreshers and drills, ensuring that all security staff are well-prepared for any situation.
- Monitor the performance of security staff and provide additional training as needed.

Security Operations and Scheduling:
- Design and implement a comprehensive security patrol schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage of the facility.
- Coordinate the shift schedules of security guards, ensuring adequate staffing for all hours of operation.
- Conduct regular site patrols to ensure the security of all areas within the facility, identifying and addressing potential security risks.
- Oversee the monitoring of security surveillance systems, including cameras and alarms.

Apprehension and Detention Protocols:
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures related to the apprehension and detention of individuals involved in criminal activities, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Ensure all security personnel are trained in the appropriate use of force, including legal constraints and when to involve law enforcement.
- Respond to incidents and coordinate with law enforcement as necessary.

Emergency Response Plan Development and Coordination:
- Collaborate with local agencies, including GEMA (Georgia Emergency Management Agency), EMS, the police, and the sheriff's department, to develop emergency response plans specific to the club’s various facilities and events.
- Design emergency evacuation plans, medical emergency protocols, and response plans for severe weather, fire, active shooter, or other threats.
- Regularly test and update emergency response plans, ensuring the participation of all stakeholders (including staff and local law enforcement).
- Organize and conduct regular emergency drills with security personnel and other relevant departments to maintain readiness.

Collaboration with Law Enforcement and Emergency Services:
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local law enforcement, emergency medical services (EMS), fire departments, and other first responders.
- Coordinate with local police and sheriff’s departments to ensure the timely response to security threats, criminal activities, or any emergencies.
- Participate in community safety and security meetings, offering expertise on public safety measures and collaborating with local authorities.

Compliance and Certification Maintenance:
- Ensure all security personnel maintain the necessary certifications and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Keep personal certifications and knowledge current in areas such as firearm handling, emergency response, and security best practices.
- Monitor industry trends and legal updates to ensure the club’s security operations remain aligned with best practices and compliance standards.

Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and training sessions.
- Prepare periodic security reports for club management, highlighting areas of concern, security breaches, and corrective actions taken.
- Ensure all security incidents are documented thoroughly and reported to the relevant authorities as required.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role in security or law enforcement.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, safety procedures, and emergency response techniques.
- Proven experience in managing and training security staff, including firearms training and legal compliance.
- Ability to develop and implement emergency response plans in collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency services.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with staff, members, guests, and local authorities.
- Ability to maintain calm and professional conduct in emergency situations.

- Prior Law Enforcement Certifications
- Firearms training certification.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform regular patrols on foot and by vehicle over a 6000 acre property.
- Must be physically capable of managing security situations, including potential apprehension and detainment procedures.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Work Environment:
- The role may involve outdoor work in varying weather conditions and occasional exposure to hazardous situations.
- Must be available for emergency response and urgent situations outside of regular working hours.
