Flooring Mechanic

F. L. Crane & Sons, Inc. an employee-owned specialty contractor with over 75 years of experience covering a wide range of finishing, metal panel systems and custom crating. We are based out of Fulton MS and operate 14 divisions throughout the southeastern part of the US. • Place flooring in position while maintaining an accurate count of materials and without damaging adjacent materials or walls.
• Install, repair, and maintain all types of flooring.
• Inspects, levels, and readies surfaces for flooring.
• Make any necessary repairs before installing floors.
• Prepares flooring for finishes and applies appropriate finishing material.
• Preparing the work surface by applying adhesive, grouting, or other appropriate materials.
  
  
  

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
• 3 years experience in flooring in the construction industry (required)
  
  
  

Preferred Skills And Abilities

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power equipment.
• Understand and follow blueprints
• Ability to work and communicate with others 
• Analyze information and evaluate problems 
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
