Pest Control Job Description

• Inspect commercial and residential buildings and the surrounding property to identify the type and source of infestation.
• Develop treatment plans and prevention methods to remove pest problems for clients and reduce the risk of re-infestation
• Mix and apply pesticides according to the label. Treat the structure according to the Company SOP’s.
• Provide clients with safety warnings and other directions regarding leaving the premises or covering sensitive furnishing and other items during the treatment process
• Follow the employee handbook in regard to appearance, and daily conduct
• Communication with your assigned manager, the office, and customers
• Time management, organization, basic computer skills

Additional Primary Duties

• chemical solutions and other products on or near surfaces of a building or house to eliminate pests according to the label and SOP

• Identification of Pest infestation and neccesary treatment protocols

.

• Set mechanical traps and place bait.
• Identify damage to property.
• Inspect property to ascertain wall and roof porosity and possible sites of pest intrusion

.

• Study preliminary reports and diagrams of infested area and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
• Measure area dimensions requiring treatment.
• Clean and remove blockages to facilitate application.
• Check for possible leaks of equipment
• Utilize appropriate protective gear and equipment during application.
• Power-spray chemicals onto surfaces

• Job Skills & Qualifications Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ladder work required in some cases/accessing attics or roof line
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch and climb for long periods of time, in attics and crawl spaces
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Travel in the service vehicle up to 50 miles a day
• Drive Company Vehicle w power spray equipment
• We supply uniform shirts, but khaki/grey pants and shoes are responsibility of the employee.
• You will be issued a company cellphone and will be responsible for its upkeep, major damages will be your responsibility
• Standard drug screens, background checks and a 7 year MVR will be required for employment.
• Medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death, short/long term disability, Christmas club are available to employees after 90 days.
