What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alternative Investments Internship position at FL Putnam Investment Management?
FLP Atrato Consulting, the investment consulting practice within F.L.Putnam, is looking for an Operational Due Diligence Intern to support the Director of Equity Strategy Research.
The ideal candidate must have relevant foundational education (Sophomore/Junior) and previous job experience a plus. Applicants without this background will NOT be considered.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assists with business and operational due diligence for new and existing alternative investment managers in private equity, private credit, real estate, and hedge fund strategies.
- Participates in analysis for manager and fund specific documentation including due diligence questionnaires, offering documents, regulatory filings, valuation policies, and audited financial statements.
- Conducts research on industry trends, macroeconomics, opportunity sets, etc.
- Supports the team with meeting preparation, scheduling & communication.
- Has strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex information clearly.
- Basic understanding of accounting and financial statements
