Behavioral Health Technician - FLACRA Residential Services
Full-Time & Per Diem Positions Available in Clifton Springs & Newark, NY
Shifts: 3pm-11pm, Overnight
Schedules: Sunday-Thursday, Tuesday-Saturday, Thursday-Monday
About FLACRA Residential Services:
FLACRA provides safe, 24-hour supervised housing for individuals recovering from substance use disorders. Our strength-based, client-centered program offers personalized support, including daily living assistance, counseling, vocational services, and family involvement to promote successful recovery.
Position Overview:
The Behavioral Health Technician supports the counseling team in ensuring client safety and security. You will help clients with their daily living activities, provide transportation, and assist with therapeutic interventions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
- Associate’s Degree preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients with daily living activities, community meetings, and social engagement
- Assist counselors with therapeutic interventions to promote skill development
- Provide transportation to appointments and activities
- Collaborate with community support systems, agencies, and families
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ conditions to supervisors
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions
- Guide clients in personal care, household chores, and safety awareness
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment
- Complete overnight tasks, when applicable
- Support clients with budgeting, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
- Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, and facilities
- Assist with medication management, if needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
