Must-Have Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Experience in food service or a restaurant kitchen environment.
- ServSafe Certification.
- Food Safety Certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily activities within the kitchen and dining room to maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure proper food handling and preparation procedures are followed at all times.
- Prepare and serve well-balanced meals for residential clients, meeting nutritional guidelines.
- Train and supervise clients completing community service in kitchen and dining room tasks.
- Maintain compliance with Health Department, OASAS, and Food Link regulations.
- Participate in general, staff, in-service, and supervisory meetings held by the Agency.
- Accommodate clients with special dietary needs as required.
- Ensure kitchen staff adhere to approved menus and meal plans.
- Perform additional duties as directed to support the kitchen and agency’s goals.
- Ability to bend, stand, and remain on feet for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with a diverse team.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
