Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage large-format printing presses, ensuring optimal quality and productivity.
- Oversee daily operations of the press crew—delegate, train, and provide guidance.
- Conduct make-ready tasks, manage ink and solution flow, and verify job specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and print issues; conduct routine maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure quality control by comparing prints to customer-approved standards.
- Maintain accurate records of performance, materials, and safety compliance.
- Handle hazardous materials per safety and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have Heidelberg 8 color or a printing press similar.
- Completion of a press apprenticeship or equivalent with 5 years of experience in printing (paper, packaging, or folding cartons).
- Strong mechanical skills and comfort with math and geometry.
- Excellent eye for color and detail.
- Capable of working in a loud, fast-paced environment and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including overtime when required.
