What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Manager position at Fladger associates?
Summary:
· Plan, coordinate, and direct the quality assurance program that is designed to ensure the continuous production of products that are consistent with established standards. Duties are performed personally or through a subordinate manager. Reports to CEO/President.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality/reliability expectancy of finished product.
· Formulate and maintain quality assurance objectives and coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
· Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products; supervise quality technicians.
· Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.
· Investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.
· Enter data for quality on material that is produced and for pick-over on a daily basis.
· Complete film checks and log in new die films.
· Document docket sheets and run graphs for each docket.
· Release materials that have been on hold and make quality decisions on what is sold or not sold on a daily basis; make sure that all shipments are made if material is on hold.
· Attend daily production meetings.
· Visit customers as needed.
· Assist with Food Safety Program.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree and two to three years of related experience or training in the quality field; supervisory experience strongly preferred
Working Conditions:
· Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may require the use of safety equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Employee must be willing to work weekends, overtime, and on rotating shifts.
