Job Summary :

The Fillet Operator is responsible for machining and finishing fillets on aerospace components to meet precise specifications. This role requires excellent attention to detail, proficiency in operating machining tools, and the ability to ensure compliance with strict quality standards. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of aerospace materials and machining processes, particularly with fillets and precision edges.

Key Responsibilities :

• Machine Operation : Operate manual and CNC machines to create precise fillets on aerospace components, adhering to engineering specifications and tight tolerances.
• Setup and Calibration : Set up and adjust machining equipment, including tooling and workpieces, to ensure accurate and efficient production.
• Inspection : Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and profilometers to inspect fillets and verify that they meet required dimensions and quality standards.
• Surface Finishing : Perform deburring, polishing, and finishing operations to achieve smooth, high-quality fillets.
• Quality Assurance : Monitor production processes to identify and address potential defects or inconsistencies in real time.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate production logs, inspection reports, and quality control records.
• Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to company and industry safety guidelines.
• Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel to ensure production goals are met.
