Job Summary
Design Build company seeking an experienced Construction Manager/Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders including the senior architect, project manager, subcontractors, team members, and property owners when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities and manage on-site personnel to ensure project milestones are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide construction processes.
- Prepare construction estimates and budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting of project costs.
- Schedule project timelines and manage resources effectively to optimize workflow.
- Utilize software tools such as Co Construct, Builder Trend, Genius Scan, and Microsoft Office.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality control.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate work schedules and resolve any issues that arise.
- Maintain clear communication and documentation regarding project status, changes, and expectations.
- Train and mentor junior staff in best practices for construction management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- 5 years construction experience.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading, construction estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
