What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Systems Security Engineer position at Flagger Force?
Flagger Force, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring a Senior Systems Security Engineer. This position will be based out of our corporate campus in Hummelstown, PA. Hybrid and flexible schedule is available for this opportunity.
The Senior Systems Security Engineer is responsible for protecting the digital assets of Flagger Force and our customer’s data through ensuring compliance with good security practices and standards. This includes analyzing, planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancing large complex systems or networks consisting of a combination that may include virtual machines, servers, personal computers, mobile devices, LANS, WANs, servers, cloud storage and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together as an enterprise networking backbone.
- Architects, designs, implements, maintains and operates information system security controls and countermeasures.
- Responds to security incidents and breaches and is a leader in coordinating the response as necessary while capturing the information required for post-incident review
- Monitors and reports on both compliance and effectiveness of security controls and identifies vulnerabilities; develops monitoring and visibility capabilities.
- Administers authentication and access controls, including provisioning, changes, and deprovisioning of user and system accounts, security/access roles, and access permissions to information assets.
- Analyzes trends, news and changes in threat and compliance environment with respect to organizational risk; advises organization management and develops and executes plans for compliance and mitigation of risk; performs risk and compliance self-assessments and engages and coordinates third-party risk and compliance assessments.
- Develops information security governance policies and standards in line with organizational leads and in collaboration with other organizational leaders.
- Participates in developing, administering and maintaining the information security training and awareness programs.
