Position SummaryTo assist the Adult Day Care Coordinator in the supervision and care of the clients in the Adult Day Care Center.
Essential Functions
- Provides one-on-one assistance and instruction in therapeutic activities.
- Encourages and assists clients with arts and crafts projects.
- Encourages client self-sufficiency and dignity.
- Maintains a safe, secure and clean environment.
- Assists with the preparation and serving of lunch and snacks.
- Provides assistance with toileting and incontinence as needed.
- Monitors client vital signs and keeps accurate records.
- Maintains client confidentiality and handles client files in compliance with HIPPA requirements.
- Provides companionship to clients and works closely with volunteers.
- Works under the direction of the supervisor.
- Functions well as part of a team.
- Attends staff meetings, trainings, workshops and conferences as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
- During emergencies, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.

** Position is part time- 8 hours a week and on-call status.Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Active CNA License- Florida.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Must complete 12 continuing education units annually.
- Experience working with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients preferred.

Physical demand: Heavy
- Lifting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling to assist clients.
- Full use of upper and lower extremities and back muscles.
- Should be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects and/or clients.
- Good vision and hearing.
