RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the primary point of contact for Flags A’ Flying’s customers, our Customer Service Sales Associates are responsible for providing customers with exceptional old-fashioned customer service in the modern world. This position is responsible for greeting, assisting, and sharing product knowledge with customers. They ensure the office and retail areas are kept clean, accessible, fully stocked with inventory, and assist with product merchandising. Additional duties include cashiering, order entry, preparing orders for shipment, working to resolve customer or vendor challenges, and positively representing Flags A’ Flying in all interactions. The ideal Customer Service Sales Associate is proficient with internet, email, and common computer software and has retail, sales, or other relevant experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Customer Service Sales Associate duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Providing exceptional service and memorable customer care
- Understanding and sharing the value of Flags A’ Flying’s products and services
- Communicating effectively with customers via telephone, email, and in-person
- Delivering prompt and professional customer sales transactions
- Monitoring and following up on all customer quotes and orders
- Processing and preparing phone and website orders for daily shipment
- Sorting and processing incoming mail and product deliveries
- Replenishing retail inventory to maintain proper levels
- Maintaining records of all transactions and interactions with customers
- Building and updating customer database by capturing contact information
- Working to resolve customer/vendor issues or complaints
- Ensuring retail and storage areas are kept clean and organized
- Assisting with product merchandising
- Supporting day-to-day operations and general business administration
- Providing operational support to managers and co-workers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications include:
- Superb verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and manage complicated transactions
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Attentive to details and able to provide accurate work output
- Ability to initiate and complete tasks independently
- Proficiency with email, internet, and common software programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Quickbooks, etc)
- Must be able to type a minimum of 45 WPM and have satisfactory 10-key skills
- Sales/customer service experience and/or willingness to learn
- High school degree required; additional professional qualifications preferred

- Store hours: 8:30am-4:30pm (Mon-Fri) & 10am-2pm (Saturday)
