Position Summary
The Project Manager I, under limited or no supervision, is responsible for the execution and management of projects based on the agreed upon scope of work with the client. Projects may also include managing third party partners and cross-functional internal operational improvement. The Project Manager I is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships including understanding the client’s existing programs and identifying opportunities to expand client portfolios. The position requires a highly dynamic and adaptive individual who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and can manage the needs of the internal stakeholders and business as well as the needs of clients.
Project Manager Essential Job Functions
● Develop long term relationships with assigned portfolio of clients
● Serve as the client advocate to the project team during project fulfillment
● Responsible for keeping clients satisfied and delivering exceptional customer service on a day-to-day basis
● Ensure assigned projects are delivered on-time and budget, working with functional managers to hold project team members accountable for deliverables
● Collaborate with functional managers to secure project resources and timelines
● Create and maintain project documentation per quality system requirements
● Document and report weekly project progression to internal stakeholders for revenue recognition forecasting
● Facilitate external meetings and internal project team meetings including, but not limited to, project kickoff, data presentations, milestone meetings, project close and lessons learned
● Maintain relationships with third parties/vendors, as appropriate
● Escalate project issues to project team members or Functional Management when needed
● Ability to travel to Flagship’s partners, customer sites and scientific meetings 4 times per year (~once a quarter), as needed
● Participate in quarterly departmental process improvement goals (Rocks)
● Collaborate with sales to generate and manage amendments to project scope, schedule, and cost
● Collaborate with internal technical experts when scoping projects/programs and amendments with existing clients
● Project revenue forecasting to senior management team on a weekly and monthly basis
● Collaborates with the sales team to onboard and integrate new clients
Minimum Requirements
● Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology,
or closely related fields or equivalent experience
● Requires a working knowledge of molecular biology technologies, fluorescence in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, cytogenetics, or similar technologies.
● 1-3 years project management experience
● PMP Certification preferred
● Project management experience in a service organization
● Proficient in GSuite
● Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
● Proficient in sales applications i.e. Pipedrive
● Proficient in project management tracking applications i.e. Project Insight
● Ability to travel up to 10% to Flagship’s partners, customer sites and scientific meetings
● Excellent organizational skills
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Attention to detail, especially in written work
● Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
● Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
