Job Overview:
Flagship Dock Services is seeking skilled Boat Dock Construction professionals on Lake Travis, TX. This role requires experience in construction and mechanical knowledge. Expect to travel from time to time for out-of-town projects, and/or other job sites around the central Texas area. The role may be physically demanding, expect to work in adverse weather conditions in the fabrication shop, outdoors, on the water, or onboard work boats. Standard Weekly Schedule = 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday (Weekend Work Available)

Openings Include:
- Foreman/Boat Captains
- Dock Hands
- Welders/Fabricators
General Duties:
- Construct and repair boat docks according to specifications.
- Construction/installation of stairs.
- Construction and installation of various marine/dock/marina structures and dock accessories.
- Setting anchors.
- Adjusting winches.
- Boat lift installation and repair.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery to complete construction & installation.
- Fabricate and weld metal components as needed (welders).
- Perform routine maintenance on existing boat docks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns and communicating with the team, supervisors, and management.
Experience:
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is required.
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques (welders).
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address construction challenges.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients.
- Dock construction experience is a plus.
- Boat handling experience is appreciated.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks, work outdoors, inside the fabrication shop, and on the workboats, marinas/docks, and on the water.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Drive a boat.
- Drive a work truck.
- Pull a trailer.
- Operate a forklift, telehandler, skid steer, and/or other heavy equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Communication skills are paramount.
- MUST PASS A DRUG TEST AND BACKGROUND CHECK.
- TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE BOATERS EDUCATION COURSE REQUIRED.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
