Duties
- Process incoming payments and ensure accurate recording in financial systems.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and collections.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all financial transactions.
- Perform coding for various transactions to ensure proper categorization within the accounting system.
- Utilize financial software, including QuickBooks, to track and manage payments efficiently.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with double-entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support corporate accounting initiatives by providing necessary documentation and reports as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth payment processing and address any related inquiries.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical collection or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles, including GAAP.
- Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping practices is essential.
- Proficiency in financial software, particularly QuickBooks, is highly desirable.
- Experience with corporate accounting processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions is required.
