What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grants Project Investigation Assistant position at Flagship Staffing Services?
Must have a clear background. Monday - Friday. 8:30am to 4:30pm. 1-hour lunch. 35 hours per week.
Manage the reporting requirement set forth by the projects grant manager.
Contract position lasting approximately 36 months.
3-5 years of experience working in the Criminal Justice field or related field.
College degree is required, preferably in forensic science, human sciences, data science, criminal justice, law, sociology, physiology or related studies. Conduct cold case file searches. Excellent written communication skills and time management skills required.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Teams ability. Willing to learn new software as needed.
Attend weekly meetings.
Support the Project Manager of the "Closure Project" with data collection and reporting as needed for the USDOJ grant reporting purposes.
Receive and fulfill request from the RIAG Cold Case Unit Team. Locate evidence at RIDOH or an off-site storage facility, following the proper procedures and policies. Miscellaneous office duties.
Promptly complete all required reports as needed following the proper procedures and policies associated with the report request.
