Flagstaff, Arizona | Full-Time | Reports to Governing Board

Flagstaff Arts & Leadership Academy (FALA), a mission-driven public charter school with a focus on academic excellence and artistic innovation, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Superintendent to lead our school into its next era of success.

The Superintendent serves as the school’s executive administrator and instructional leader, guiding FALA’s strategic priorities, academic programs, finances, operations, and stakeholder relationships. This is an opportunity to lead a small, creative, and engaged learning community that values collaboration, high expectations, and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning and instructional excellence in alignment with FALA’s mission and charter.
  • Oversee school operations, including staffing, compliance, safety, and risk management.
  • Manage the budget, financial reporting, and bond-related obligations including investor communications.
  • Serve as the liaison to the Governing Board and Arizona education agencies.
  • Foster a positive school culture and actively engage with families and the community.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in educational leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of full-time teaching or educational service in elementary or secondary education.
  • Completion of coursework aligned with Arizona Professional Administrative Standards (R7-2-603).
  • Experience in a school or system-level leadership position.
  • Knowledge of school finance, charter school operations, and nonprofit governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic plans and achieve academic performance goals.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience
