**Job Description**

We are looking for a friendly and responsible Cashier to join our team at Flagstaff Liquor. The ideal candidate will have a customer-focused approach, knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and tobacco products, and a strong understanding of Arizona liquor laws. Responsibilities include completing sales transactions accurately, offering superior customer service, maintaining an organized work environment, and helping manage our inventory including small size bottles, cigarettes, and other convenience items.

**Responsibilities**

1. **Cash Handling and Transactions**: Accurately operate the cash register, handle financial transactions, ensure all pricing is correct, and provide receipts to customers. Manage cash drawer, including end of day cash counting and reconciliation.

2. **Customer Service**: Answer customer queries about our products, prices, availability, product uses, and services. Possess a deep knowledge of our product inventory, including beer, wine, spirits, and tobacco, and use this to help customers as needed. Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.

3. **Drive-Thru Operations**: Efficiently and accurately handle drive-thru orders, ensuring a high level of customer service and swift processing of orders.

4. **Merchandise Management**: Restock shelves with merchandise as needed, ensuring the shop floor and stockrooms are well organized. This includes stocking small size bottles, cigarettes, and other convenience items. Participate in inventory counts as needed.

5. **Sales Promotion**: Inform customers about monthly sales items, promoting these products to increase store sales. Keep up-to-date with new products and any promotions to provide accurate information to customers.

6. **Customer Loyalty Plan**: Proactively promote our customer loyalty plan to all customers. Help customers understand the benefits and sign up for the loyalty plan.

7. **Workplace Maintenance**: Keep the work space clean and organized at all times, maintaining a pleasant environment for both staff and customers.

**Qualifications**

- Experience in a retail setting preferred

- Must be 21 years of age or older

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Basic math skills for cash handling

- Ability to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

- Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and tobacco products recommended

- Familiarity with Arizona liquor laws is required

- Title 4 training is required
