POSITION: Accounts Receivable Specialist
REPORTS TO: Accounts Receivable Manager
Position Summary
Responsible for daily receipt application, cash management and debit/credit memo creation with extensive data entry in an SAP accounting system. Perform some manual invoice creation and accounts receivable collections, as well as collaborating with the customer service department to resolve discrepancies.
Essential Functions
- Conduct account research and analysis.
- Prepare and maintain various reports including maintaining an accurate aging report.
- Identify and execute the necessary process adjustments.
- Send statements to outstanding customers.
- Reconcile A/R to the G/L.
- Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues.
- Generate accounting statements and reports.
- Research cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts, as well as research and apply unallocated cash.
- Oversee accounts receivable write-offs and payment reversals.
- Organize and maintain up to date financial records.
- Provide monthly financial and management reports.
- Assist in financial management and analysis, as requested.
- Organize and maintain retention files for required period of time.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years Accounting and/or Finance experience.
- Accounts Receivable and Collections experience preferred.
- Accounting software experience required (SAP or similar ERP system software preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, utilize time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to learn new concepts, processes, and take on new responsibilities as they arise.
- Attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.

Work Location: Minneapolis, MN – travel expected less than 10%
