What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine repair tech position at FLAMBEAU INC.?
2nd or 3rd Shift Industrial Machine Repair Tech (Internal job name : Maintenance Tech) The Maintenance Technician provides general facility / production equipment maintenance and repair.
They support other maintenance associates in their day to day activities Preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of assigned equipment.
Assemble, trouble shoot or repair equipment; pushing heavy carts and dollies; lifting of moderately heavy objects, no limit on weight, but must use good judgment on how things are moved.
Maintenance should have the ability to work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and climate conditions.
While being able to be in regularly contact with and exposed to dust, dirt, grease, grime, and usual shop condition; general proficiency in the following skills-Hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
- Troubleshooting and repair of machine controllers.
- Troubleshooting molding machine and auxiliary equipment problems.
- Preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Record keeping of PM and repairs performed.
- Use prints, operating manuals, sketches, and diagrams to dismantle, assemble, trouble shoot or repair equipment.
- Communicate with OEM service representatives to aid in part ordering and problem solving.
- Work in a safe and conscious manner.
- Watch for and report / repair safety hazards immediately.
- Report needs or maintenance and supplies.
- Communicate equipment problems or unfinished jobs to next shift of maintenance and production supervisor.
- Skilled in the use and care of tools and equipment required to perform.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
