Job Summary :

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that electrical components of machinery and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, motors, and control circuits in a manufacturing setting.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose electrical malfunctions and implement timely solutions to minimize production disruptions.
  • Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting and automation system support.
  • Maintain, repair, and replace variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, and other electrical components.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and other industry safety regulations.
  • Test electrical systems and components using meters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Document maintenance and repair activities accurately in the company's system.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications :

  • Education : High school diploma or GED required; technical school or associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Experience : 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and industrial power distribution.

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming
  • Understanding of motor controls, VFDs, and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
  • Certifications (Preferred) :
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
