The Dishwasher maintains a clean and sanitized kitchen by washing kitchen items, equipment, and area; removing trash; maintaining equipment and supplies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.
- Works in the dishwashing and bar back areas to ensure that all food and beverage utensils (i.e. plates, silverware, glassware, etc.) are sanitized and returned to the appropriate service area.
- Maintains the sanitation of kitchen items by: collecting dirty items such as dishes, glasses, cups, pots, pans, utensils, and tableware; operating automatic dishwasher including loading soaps and sanitizers and monitoring temperatures; washing items by hand; verifying cleanliness; returning items to inventory.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; reports machinery breakdowns; replaces chemical supplies.
- Maintains kitchen area and equipment by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors, walls, windows, shelves, etc. Cleans equipment such as grills, ovens, ranges, griddles, and preparations surfaces when necessary. Removes trash.
- Maintains safe and sanitary kitchen environment by following kitchen procedures and standards and sanitation codes.
- Documents cleaning and sanitizing actions by completing forms and logs.
- Must become TABC certified within 14 days of employment and complete an approved food safety program within 30 days of employment
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as, extended workdays to support business needs.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Dishwashers possess a highly developed sense of customer service must be strong team players.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with help and/or assistance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center environment where high levels of noise, dust and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
