What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Distribution Specialist position at FLANDERS ELECTRIC MOTOR SERVICE INC?
Primary Purpose: Establish and maintain FLANDERS as a trusted partner for NEMA repair and Distribution Products. Support new and existing customers by listening to needs, offering solutions based on the needs, and being a proactive partner for their reliability and maintenance planning efforts. This role will be located in our Lakeland, FL office.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Provide customers with timely and cost-effective solutions in response to all Requests-For-Quote (RFQ) & Requests-For-Information (RFI) related to NEMA motor repair and Flanders distribution products.
- Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and RFI’s related to distribution products.
- Coordinate and communicate customer needs and expectations with outside sales organization, OEM partners and operations as required to support customer inquiries, quotes, order processing, shipping notifications, and vendor management related to NEMA motor repair and Flanders distribution products.
- Responsible for quotation, order taking, order processing, and order tracking of distribution products.
- Responsible for investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to distribution products.
- Responsible for customer sales correspondence, shipment tracking, product notifications, order processing, customer credits and inventory oversight related to distribution products.
- Responsible for reviewing technical data & requirements of NEMA requests, quotes and incoming purchase orders.
- Responsible for preparing internal material requisitions for purchase of materials and services related to distribution orders.
- Responsible for maintaining oversight and maintenance of Flanders price matrix in accordance with approved multipliers.
- Responsible for processing customer inquiries related to NEMA repair and distribution products.
- Responsible for tracking distribution orders, on-time delivery, and vendor KPI’s.
- Responsible for selection and procurement of distribution products from approved suppliers.
- Responsible for maintaining regional relationships with external suppliers.
- Responsible for maintaining detailed notes within order file and CRM.
- Responsible for coordinating product training and product support for outside sales, OEM’s, and customers.
- Responsible for tracking joint-call (2x2) efforts with approved OEM’s and vendor partners.
- Responsible for monitoring and managing regional KPI's with vendor partners.
- Other duties as requested by supervisor or management.

- Prefer 5 years of technical sales, inside sales, customer service or similar experience.
- Experience in motor repair, industrial product distribution or related industry.
- Experience interpreting and understanding dimensional drawings.
