What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist Summer 2025 Intern to join our team Environmental Health & Safety in our Evansville, Indiana location!
This role will touch on a variety of areas and disciplines related to Environmental, Health & Safety and/or Occupational Health & Safety Management. Internship projects will include creating accurate and detailed Lock Out Tag Out isolation flow processes, develop a process for contractors and vendors to access FLANDERS property, and you will have the opportunity to analyze current databases and document storage systems for areas of improvement. Upon the final weeks of the internship, students will be asked to present a summary of their experience and be given the opportunity to provide impactful feedback.
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled full-time at a 4-year university/college in a relevant degree program
- Ability to work with others of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, and abilities in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic, innovative, solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for learning
Responsibilities
- Work cross functionally with Operations Departments and Maintenance to gain general knowledge of machinery function and application.
- Apply OSHA/ANSI standard and FLANDERS policy of machinery LOTO to the isolation flow process of each defined machine.
