What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Human Resource & Internal Communications Intern (Year-Round) to join our Human Resource team in our Evansville, Indiana location! This is a year long internship.
The Human Resources & Internal Communications Intern will report directly to the VP of People Care. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as you will interact with employees, management, and job candidates. This position offers a valuable opportunity to learn about labor laws, workplace communication initiatives, and talent management strategies. By the end of this internship, you will gain practical skills and insights that will prepare you for a career in human resources.
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled full-time at a 4-year university/college pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Communications or Public Relations.
- Ability to work with others of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, and abilities in a constructive and collaborative manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic, innovative, solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for learning.
Responsibilities
- Work globally with key individuals inside FLANDERS to develop business and employee communication materials for distribution on internal and external networks.
- Maintain information on employee communication boards including the electronic communication information system.
- Assist with internal messaging materials, including the all-employee meeting presentations.
- Work on Human Resources infrastructure building projects such as standardization of job descriptions and titles, KPI metric reporting, etc.
- Participate in the Evansville activities committee.
- Assist with administrative duties within the Human Resources Department.
- Audit and update Human Resources related files.
- Perform any other duties established by the Human Resource Team.
