What We Are Looking For : Someone to join our Advanced Development Team to work on our next generation AC drive systems, power converters, and electric machines in our Carmel, Indiana office. You will provide technical leadership indesigning, developing, and testing power, motor control electronic hardware, and electric machines for our products and services.
What You Will Do :
- Engineer Develop, program, and implement AC drive systems, power converters, and electric machines. Demonstrate expert knowledge of process and skills to design wide ranges of power, complexity, and application of power systems. Projects will include emphasis on commercial details and project management including but not limited to : Speed and torque controlled motor drive development Motor electrical design Development and tuning of regulators including current, speed, torque, EMF, and field weakening Expert knowledge of motor architectures, motor design, control algorithms, and dynamics Expert understanding of power converter concepts such as buck-boost DC / DC Power electronics design and packaging Development of detailed models and simulation of systems using Matlab and Simulink Provide mentorship for other engineers Lead some or all the project development phases related to the products supported. Collaborate with Sales team and customers to define and support product requirements. Provide technical leadership of complex, multi-faceted engineering projects.
