Job Summary
The Construction and Maintenance Technician will provide standby excavation monitoring for high-pressure facilities and related construction and maintenance services. The position will be based along the Wasatch Front, and some travel will be required.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Performing high-pressure pipeline locates
· Reading and interpreting Purchaser’s maps and prints
· Interacting with external contractors and municipalities
· Conducting pipeline valve maintenance
· Maintaining Purchaser’s Department of Transportation (DOT) records by completing reports and entering data
· Maintaining pits and vaults
· Conducting pipeline patrols and ensuring compliance with DOT records
· Installing and maintaining pipeline markers
· Painting Purchaser’s high-pressure facilities
· Installing and inspecting cathodic protection equipment
· Assisting with pipeline shutdowns and purging operations
· Creating and following line shutdown procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures
· Conducting pipeline damage assessments
· Removing, collecting, transporting, and disposing of pipeline coating
· Installing and inspecting pipeline coatings
· Valid driver’s license, drug screen, and background checks.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous IHP/HP experience preferred
Physical Requirements – (Working Conditions)
- Ability to work in an outdoor field environment during all seasons of the year and to tolerate extreme temperature variations.
- Activities such as lifting, bending, and climbing are required to fulfill job duties for this position.
