Information Systems Security Engineer II!
Active TS / SCI with Polygraph required
Works within the Risk Management Authorization organization to facilitate user support and project migration into the AWS cloud environment, to ensure security and compliance consistency across Cloud Service Providers, and to establish procedures to maintain security configurations and controls over time.
This specific position is intended to provide senior experience and leadership for the TTO described above.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform or review architecture designs, RMF documentation, and technical security assessments of enterprise cloud computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations and recommend mitigation strategies.
Identify NIST SP 800-53 security controls that are addressed / need to be addressed by enterprise cloud architectures, and document security controls inheritance, shared responsibility information, and control implementation guidance for systems deployed into the cloud
Develop or review system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves, including those with differing data protection / classification requirements, to ensure appropriate security controls are in place
Recommend system-level solutions to meet security requirements across enterprise systems
Assist government Risk Management Framework leadership with security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management to ensure cloud environments and cloud-based systems can achieve ATO
Minimum Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university i
- Four years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- 14 year’s experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2
- CISSP Certification i

Salary Range is based on a combination of level of education, years of experience, and certifications.
The Level 2 Information Systems Security Engineer pays between $151,000-$155,800
