What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler position at FlashCo Manufacturing?
SUMMARY
Responsible for managing inbound orders and inventory builds to support the overall master schedule and the sites sales and customer service objectives. Monitors production schedules, ensures consistent workflow, and adds production orders to support FG plans.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Update the production and inventory control system with information that is timely and accurate.
- Create work orders for all types of products across multiple plants.
- Review automatically generated work orders for accuracy.
- Stage and coordinate work in the production areas to meet schedules and effectively utilize resources.
- Communicate and coordinate with appropriate support groups to ensure delivery metrics are being met and timely information is being relayed to customers.
- Split work orders by generating a new work orders for large sales orders.
- Schedule work orders to support sales orders and communicate ship dates to customers and customer service based on the production schedule.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team to resolve material shortages.
- Monitor finished good inventory levels, create and schedule production orders to support inventory plans.
- Coordinate with operations and the scheduling team to expedite stock builds of low inventory finished goods.
- As a liaison, resolve scheduling conflicts between different departments regarding build schedules.
- Monitor production delays, working with customer service to determine priority and with operations to assign resources accordingly.
- Coordinate with other sites to develop and implement daily work schedules, short range capacity plans and build plans.
- Monitor and coordinate actions required to reduce lead times, ensure customer service levels are being exceeded.
- Participate in team meetings to develop and implement plans to meet team goals such as; schedules, quality, cost, etc.
- Work in conjunction with the plant managers to ensure Flashco fleet is being best utilized balancing cost and delivery.
COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of:
- Inventory Management and Manufacturing Processes.
- Common reorder practices for supplies and services
- Microsoft Excel, Basic math, ERP and MRP systems.
- Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, etc
- Lean systems

QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum one year experience in production planning or supply chain (Manufacturing business preferred)
· Preferred experience with SAP Business One Software
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Much of the work consists of conveying information verbally and in writing and working on a computer while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to sit, stand, and walk; use finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands; talk and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee occasionally may need to transport himself or herself to another office location in mild to inclement weather. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
