Excavation Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction site, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation and commercial driving, with the ability to lead and manage a team of workers.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise excavation projects from start to finish.
• Ensure all excavation work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.
• Manage and lead excavation crews, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines.
• Develop and implement excavation plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to ensure safety compliance.
• Resolve any issues that arise during excavation, including unforeseen site conditions.
• Maintain records of excavation activities, including work progress, expenses, and safety reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in excavation or a related field.
• Must be able to read and operate a transit laser with precision.
• Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, site preparation, and earthwork operations.
• Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Familiarity with excavation equipment and their maintenance requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Home daily
• Home weekends
• Overtime

Experience:

• Excavation: 4 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CDL A (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:
