Description : Basic Description :
Assist the AP Team with accounting duties and provide support for the Finance Department, including but not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Perform day to day office tasks, communications, and accounting support activities for all branches of Flat Branch. Work with highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, while still nurturing a paperless environment.
Responsibilities :
Accounts Payable Tasks
Responsible for the review, obtaining approval, and entry of all vendor invoices, check requests, etc.
Responsible for the review, obtaining approval, and entry of credit card and employee expense reports.
Communicate with internal and external sources in regard to setting up new services, invoice issues, payment issues, etc.
Assist with review of Accounts Payable related balance sheet accounts at month-end for accuracy.
Accounts Receivable Tasks
Research and deposit incoming checks for various company functions.
Assist with reconciliation of Accounts Receivable at month end.
Other Tasks
Assist with communication and document requests for external auditors and compliance reports, as needed.
Support sales and operations teams including front desk backup.
Assist with preparation of Annual Tax Reporting, including 1099s.
Provide answers to queries during the month-end close process.
Requirements :
Qualifications & Skills :
Previous Accounts Payable experience equivalent of one to three years.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate results.
Ability to communicate effectively with borrowers, vendors, and staff.
Superior organizational abilities / time management.
Ability to handle several tasks quickly and proficiently.
Knowledge with Microsoft office suite with an emphasis in Excel a plus
General understanding of accounting principles.
Skilled in mathematics.
Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
